why announce the bans in the chat but not make them public after that? doesnt make sense

Because public shaming isn't cool? Once is enough and ridiculing people further is just a jerk move. Claiming it will stop people is just complete BS and the only reason it would be posted publicly is to mock people. Also what's the point of you knowing/asking for "known people" who got banned? Seems like it's to rub it in their faces and make fun of them.

why do you think this will not stop people from cheating? known people on the server dont want to be on a public list of banwaved closet cheaters because people will laugh at them and they will lose their "good" reputation, edit

I think there should be more ban waves but posting it on a website isn't going to happen. Suggestion? Yes, but it's not really an improvement at all. Um because posting your bans on a site ain't gonna stop people. If they can see they got banned ingame and evade or something, how is posting it online helpful? It literally won't stop people.
Again it will only incite drama and toxicity.
well i mean basically yeah thats the risk they took by closet cheating and getting caught
if somebody with a reputation of being good got banned its pretty funny to know they were actually cheating the whole time
and this definitely scares people away from cheating on their main accounts ATLEAST, isn't that the reason bans get announced in the first place?this type of drama is what makes the pvp servers fun, if big closet cheaters got banned by the invaded anticheat its something to celebrate and tell the community!!
I can see how this brings more drama, but it really brings drama in a good way, just like the big lunar client and cheatbreaker banwaves that also got made public.
