What is the invadedlands Host?

I have been curious about the host as if they changed providers or not it seems that my ping is fine on play.invadedlands.net but invadedlands.net is different and i lag around 200ms or i spike i would like to know more about it and if there is a better way to connect to the Invadedlands servers
