Appeal and report response times are currently at some of the best averages I've seen in a long time, and I've been on the team for 3 years on and off. Excluding blacklist appeals and escalated appeals which are the minority of appeals, the median average response time to appeals is currently less than 5 hours.
Standard ban appeals — cheating (guilty/not guilty) — avg response time <5h
Anyone can handle a lot of these depending on the circumstances, especially if guilt is admitted. Roughly 75% of these appeals are dealt with without needing to be escalated.
Escalated ban appeals — cheating — avg response time <7-14d
Only managers or people with anti-cheat logs access can deal with these — for the avoidance of doubt, this means that mods, senior mods, admins etc. cannot help you here. There is one person that can help process these appeals, that's it. So, understandably this will take time to process depending on the circumstances.
Standard blacklist appeals — avg response time <24h
Senior Mods and above can deal with these, they require more time and effort as the things someone can be blacklisted for are more severe. However, it's usually a cut and dry decision which means the majority get responded to in the first instance.
Escalated/Chargeback blacklist appeals — avg response time ?h
Blacklists aren't an operational priority in any sense, if you've done something severe enough to be blacklisted, the chances are you almost always deserved the punishment. However, in situations where a Senior Mod doesn't have
(a) the authority
or
(b) the ability
to make the decision. A Manager will need to make the decision on whether or not you get unblacklisted, as there's only one manager that handles these things, this takes time.
These threads are always frustrating to read, because they imply that the staff team either aren't good at what they do or that they don't care about appeals and/or don't do them — this simply isn't true. We rely on processes to get these things done and we're not able to circumvent them. You will either have to be patient or go elsewhere, your decision here is that simple.
