Hello everyone. You don’t have to read this thread if you’re uncomfortable about System64’s death.

As you may know, System64 committed suicide back in November 2022, this obviously got quite a lot of attention, and caught the eye of a YouTuber named Tantacrul, who has talked to System64 in the past. After some research, Tantacrul found that System64 has received help from members of an online forum in order to kill himself, and decided to make a video about this online forum.


I am simply here to inform you all that this video exists, and to warn about the dangers of this website. If you find yourself in a tough situation, avoid this forum at all costs and seek professional help. Thank you.
 
Thanks for sharing this. I wasn't aware that forum existed but it alarms me that it does. I think communities where suicide is discussed as the core topic are inherently quite dangerous places. Especially because the people you are talking with and seeking advice from are also in such a terrible mental place that they are likely some of the most inappropriate people to seek advice from.

Supporting people that are mentally ill or supporting a friend experiencing suicidal thoughts is intense and exhausting — a lot of people in places like that simply won't have the energy or the emotional intelligence to appropriately moderate themselves before they speak. Communities like this without proper moderation by professionals and stringent guidelines do serious harm and should not be as easily accessible by children as they are, or even at all.

It disgusts me that places like this exist, but it doesn't surprise me. It just makes this whole situation and the loss of life ever the more sad. Rest in peace.

Please do not suffer in silence or resort to seeking the advice of the people mentioned in this video. This makes me really sad, i might not have known system32 but it does not make me cry any less. this forum should never had existed!

I saw this video in my recommended and didn’t really think much of it. Didn’t know it was tied into systems death that much. People fucking suck
