What are some tips for setting up a server?

I'm trying to make a server for mainly friends, have any suggestions in plugins, mods, or even how I set up my server.

AdminEssentials
Worldguard
Worldedit
Multiverse
Vault
Some kind of permissions plugin, whether it be PermissionsEX, bPermissions, or something else

Those are just the basics, I'm not sure which type of server you're trying to set up but if you'd like to DM me I can give you some recommendations based on the exact kind of server you want (whether it be survival, pvp, minigames, building, etc).

I agree with this, these should be the main components, otherwise you’re free to add any other plugins/mods
