survival does reset, and people are expecting it very soon.
they only reset modes 1 at a time on different dates, so if u play kitpvp or skyblock (idk much abt skyblock but it looks like it will reset soon) then u might be fine, especial on kitpvp as it just reset.

When you say "land" do you mean world generation and terrain?
If so then I think the world stays the same, except all player built structures and anything else done by a player.
