Before I begin, I would just like to state that this is not meant to say that current staff members are bad-I am just saying that I think they are overworked/can't adequately handle most players' needs efficiently.
I think it would be a great idea for the Invaded community as a whole for there to be more staff members! Currently, I think that, for the most part, we can all agree that the current staff is great, particularly moderators, who I constantly see active on both the actual server and the Forums. However, we have also had horror stories about players waiting months for blacklist appeals to be reviewed, amazing (in fact, nearly all) suggestions being completely ignored, and more. In addition, I personally see lots of chat abuse occurring on servers like Survival, but due to the apparent lack of staff, this goes unchecked. Therefore, I think that it would benefit the server to have more staff to accommodate for the server's growing needs. It would also prepare for a time when Invaded could become more popular (like 1000+ players), instead of having to overwork current staff.
I understand that there may be some problems that go along with this, which I will address. However, I feel that the inherent benefits outweigh the theoretical costs. (If I missed any, please let me know! I will edit the post to add them)
- Makes the server less of a 'community' with less connection between staff & players: I believe that, in fact, the opposite would occur-by having more staff, this allows players to interact more with server staff, making the experience more enjoyable for all!
- No current applicant meets the requirements: Well, this would be hard to prove, given that staff applications are currently closed. However, I believe that given the current (seeming) lack of staff, in this case, quantity would outweigh quality. It's better to have lower-quality staff than no staff at all.
If I missed any, please let me know! I do think that by adding more staff, it would make the server exponentially better, but perhaps I am wrong! If you disagree, feel free to respond to the post with your own opinion (and preferably some counterpoints so I understand your argument better)
Thanks!
