It's almost like there are certain games/servers that encourage players to invest in them if they're interested and want to receive benefits
don't call ppl losers for spending THEIR money if you don't like the design of the server then you can log off
I'm not saying it's a necessarily wise way to spend money or fair to players who don't have money/don't want to spend it on skeppylands but not everything in the world is gonna catered to u friend xx

I think that you don't know how much the servers actually cost. InvadedLands has over 15 active servers, even if they are whitelisted. I don't really think skeppy is making alot of money with the server because he even has to pay his Developers ( Blurmit, Redot, and more ) and he has to pay the Managers. You don't know how much all of that costs. Every server needs some things to make money. Understand that. Even donutsmp.

also some time ago the server was perfectly fine and had the same player amount that it does right now, but my respect for invaded has dropped down so much because staff keeps introducing so many crates (also they tried exploiting people out of money pre-reset by timing it coincidentally when the black friday deals happened, and they only allowed refunds once they got debunked)
also dont try and say something like "oh they're just trying to make money" because
1. pay to win aspects are in general extremely scummy, and most players dont like them
2. "Mojang's EULA forbids selling items, abilities, or commands on Minecraft servers that give paying players an unfair gameplay advantage over non-paying players. The intent is to prevent "pay-to-win," ensuring the core game remains fair and monetized perks are mostly cosmetic or non-essential." - for a while ive been searching online and every single corner of the internet that ive so far found supports this claim. This description literally matches invadedlands perfectly (crate keys dont make it any better)
3. you cant just defend the server because "other servers are pay to win and mojang doesnt care anyways" its still against the rules :/

I can't really make comments on the server anymore or the extent of how "p2w" things have gotten bc I haven't actually had the desire to play skeppylands since 2023 when the server just got kinda trash - I'm larping on the forums bc I'm bored
ALSO, if it is actually true that moderation punishes the player base for calling out weird behavior coming from staff and marketing then tbf I'm really disappointed bc how are you gonna ignore exploitation for the purpose of saving your skeppylands minecraft server job
It's like the reddit mods that think actually their jobs are important in the grand scheme of society and their lives
