It appears to me that Invaded is exploring adding Bedrock compatibility to Invaded.

I personally oppose this, and I don't think Invaded stands to gain either. Bedrock compatibility allows things that Java players consider cheating, like being able to hit off-axis on a touchscreen and bridge with what are essentially scaffolding hacks, so this will make it harder to catch cheaters.

On Invaded's business side, Bedrock players don't seem to be a very lucrative market. They, almost by definition, have less money than Java players, as they're playing an edition that costs less and allows them to use a cheaper device. I doubt that they're going to be bringing in more crate key revenue off of Bedrock players.

Because of that point, these Bedrock players are also going to be more likely to be young children than Java players. This is most likely a negative for the community.

I think it's worth a shot to test bedrock, I've seen it be asked about before and it could help bring more players in as well for some of the whitelisted servers if they came back up, although as for the server making money, when signing into stores and such it doesn't typically allow the '.' at the start of the name (from what I've seen). As for the hitting off-axis and such I'm sure it's smth that staff would talk about before fully implementing it.

But even then, its a free alt account, you can play normally on java while your bedrock account afk's at a farm, phones, old laptops, consoles. The main thing being gained would be an increase in player count. Sometimes Java servers crash but bedrock stays up (I've seen that be useful before).

I hadn't considered the free alt account thing, that sounds potentially nice.

However, bringing in more players is not necessarily a good thing. I believe that Bedrock support would be mostly onboarding a bunch of young children, which I don't think would improve the community. It may offer the illusion of having more players, but they largely don't participate in the server in the same way. Some people may disagree, but that's going to be my stance on that.

I do agree with the last point somewhat. but both Java and Bedrock have pro's and con's, and I have seen Java/Bedrock compatibility go well. Its at least worth a test even if it doesn't stick about in the end

with bedrock support comes a big issue: infinite account exploit. bedrock edition allows users without any creditcard/debit card to get infinite accounts, with java edition a simular thing exists, but requiers a large ammountsof creditcards/debit cards.

Nawh ip ban them then

Skeppy said on Q&a that he was considering bedrock do invaded But Bedrock would probably not get that much money out of buying stuff from stores but it may helpful for skeppy do have people do make video for example i trapped 100 kids videos he can probably be able do now have 300 or 1000 or 500 with these new players and may benefit the server not directly but since i think skeppy reinvest his money on invaded and also the factthat this videos bring more players do invadedlands it may be helpful

He could easily get 1000 players if he did a pinged discord event.
