Think on the postive side rather than dwelling on the things that cannot be changed. It's almost like a new community. Maybe there wont be as much toxicity (unlikely). I personally think upgrading the forums was a good idea.

2nd of all:
you can go back to the old website and relocate your staff app to this website. Just check out the announcements category.
