Hey everyone!
I am new to the server and was wondering how the spawners work?

when I placed one down it said something like it is disabled.

What kind of spawner was it? Where did you place it?

If it was a passive mob (cow/pig/sheep/chicken/wolf/etc) spawner, it needs to be on grass and it needs light to spawn.

If it was a hostile mob (zombie/skeleton/spider/blaze/creeper/etc) spawner, it needs to be in a room with a roof so as to provide darkness for the mobs to spawn in.


You said that something said it was disabled? Would you be able to provide a screenshot of this?

The message that you saw you don't need to worry about. I believe it's just a little bug that doesn't affect anything at all and your spawners should work like normal. : )
