My cpu is an i7 920. This cpu was made in 2009. Ddr4 wasnt a thing yet. There are gens of i7s

Your ryzen 5 2600 is not compatible with your old motherboard because it doesnt have the same socket or it doesnt support ddr4

yeah the square thingy didn’t fit so I had to order a new motherboard which will run my ryzen lol
