1.8.9 or 1.9 which better

Hi I'm thinking is 1.9 better than 1.8.9 combat wise as I get less lag and can overall do things quicker but with 1.8.9 I have better combos etc etc please help me! Thanks Subarov

1.7 is ultimately the best out of all of them, in terms of combat. However, if you are only asking about 1.8.9 or 1.9, 1.8.9 is better for combat.

It’s honestly preference, 1.8 and 1.9 pvp are completely different, I love 1.16 pvp because it has like all the new items and pvp mechanics with the crossbows and stuff, but I suck at 1.8 and I don’t rly find it that fun when I’m even doing good ngl

1.8 - wooden axes dont do the same damage as diamond swords and its easier to learn

1.9+ combat is kinda messy imo, 1.8 is easier to learn, and more fun. you cant really get satisfying combos consitently in 1.9+ bc of shields.

In my opinion 1.8.9 pvp is easier to learn, but after a while it becomes repetitive. And 1.9+ has a lot of new mechanics and it needs a bit of strategy too, but at the end of the day everyone has their own preference.
