afk machine

So I've built this really simple afk machine, and have been using over the last few days in order to gain extra claim blocks.



It's not very efficient but it works (slowly). Then I suddenly thought that I should probably check if this is considered against the rules in any way. I will stop using it until I receive confirmation that I am allowed to. I can't find anything that would suggest explicitly that this is not allowed but just want to check

Update: I have just gone on the server and the piston has been broken. I will assume that it was broken by a staff member who saw this thread and that I am therefore not allowed to use this

It's not to prevent kicking, it's to gain claim blocks, since you have to be moving to get them

It's not to prevent kicking, it's to gain claim blocks, since you have to be moving to get them

why don’t you just ride a rollercoaster that loops then

1, Just use the classic water loop thingy to gain claimblocks like everyone else.
2. Staff couldn't have destroyed it since it they don't have coordinates.
3. I wouldn't use it as pistons tend to get people false banned so just use the water loop thingy.

Q&A for survival beginners

If you play survival for more than a day then you'll see that the new players always ask the same questions over and over again. I'm happy to help people if I feel like it but it gets real annoying and I find myself ignoring them a bit more than I used to. So I'm going to make a QA type post...

I'd recommend you read this, specifically the part about how to get claim blocks.

If you afk in water loop you won't get any claim blocks. This is misinformation.
