not really lol, microsoft bought mojang, not minecraft, and decided to make their own version of minecraft and they could shut down java edition forever any time they wanted

why should they add 2fa to mojang accounts when they could just move them to microsoft accounts, which already have 2fa, and is easier? makes sense to me.
