Aight so basically the other day I thought of a command called /purchaseundo where if you buy something from chest shops, within 15 seconds you are allowed to type in this command to UNDO the purchase, that is, get your money back and return the item (mandatory, of course).
1-This will stop the trend of scamming via chest shops within the community, and kids won't complain about being scammed.
2-Since this command is allowed to be done only within 15 seconds, there is no chance of the item being duped
3-Everytime you purchase something from the chest shops, this command should be displayed in chat in order to inform anyone unaware of this command.
4-The chest shops CANNOT be destroyed for 15 seconds after a purchase has been made, to avoid scams even more.
5-Even after all this, if you manage to get scammed, it is no one's but YOUR fault.

Tell me below what yall think of this idea!

k so how would you prevent this. someone buys a spawner from me for 1.5mil. they do /purchaseundo so they get their 1.5mil back but they’ve already placed the spawner.

It's allowed to be done within 15 seconds. The person CANNOT leave the island and the person cannot be banned after doing the purchase (for a mere 15 seconds).

I think its good and bad idea.
So, the good part is that scammers will almost disappear but the bad part is that the things in the chest can glitch and the owner of the shop will lose the item.

It's a possibility, but a problem that can be fixed

If you do any of those you cannot do /purchaseundo. Simple. You can do /purchaseundo ONLY if you stay on the island without giving/placing the item. Pretty easy fix lol

i doubt this would be implemented and it servers little to no purpose. people would find a way to bypass it and let people learn from their mistakes when they are scammed. you shouldn’t really be scammed more than once and if so that’s on you.

I mean it does serve a purpose, to stop scamming. There aren't any other ways to scam other than IRL deals. It would stop scamming and people won't complain as often. Tell me how this would be bypassed. I can't really think of a way. Adding this command isn't going to do any harm. If there's something wrong with this command, please tell me. It's a simple little command that will ultimately stop scamming.

Scamming is something that happens, I see it as a lesson rather than something that hurts you. There are multiple ways it could be bypassed and I’m sure people could figure out more. I just don’t think it’s worth while for Neon to custom make a plugin that stops scamming which is something that is allowed.

I guess you do have a point. I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to have the command. But yeah, it doesn't make sense to make a command to stop something which is allowed. But still, a command to stop 90% of the scamming sounds nice to have.

theoretically speaking why don't you spend a week coding for 2 servers at a time and tell us how fun it is and if you feel like creating a new plugin

well, what if you break the chest right when they do it. or take the sign off right when they do it, that could dupe money. i feel like someone would find a way

yikes that comes of as sort of rude. i was just theoretically speaking. please check your vibes when speaking to me.
and i have a brother who is a coder, and he codes in his job. not once have i heard him say "god i hate this so much". yes he gets frustrated but he doesn't get angry and honestly, finds it fun. i'm also looking to code in the near future. i'll tell ya when i become a coder how much fun it'll be <3
