1.16 axes do 0.9 damage up too 10 damage. with enchantments higher! wood has 8 (or 9) but low durability and that goes until iron pickaxe then dia and netherite have 9 attack damage. any more questions please ask me as i main 1.16 and 1.9 pvp

1.9 stone axes did as much damage as diamond sword, but they fixed that later
