Personally, I would queue as soon as you wake up. You probably won't get in an event that day but I can assure you, you will be in the next. Events can happen early in the morning EST and usually around 8pm est. These could be wrong but I found patterns that make this 65% correct. You can afk in hub, it won't kick you. If you want to play another game you can open up another Minecraft launcher. I tend to use lunar or Badlion client. Also he sometimes does events on b so don't be upset if you don't get in the queue because you're in A. To join a queue do /joinq event-a or -b. Good Luck!

In my opinion, I wouldn’t suggest you stay in the queue because there will always be at least 700+ players in the queue at all times, so there will always never really be a good time to join the queue at all time.

If you stay in the queue you will, join it's not randomized. When people leave or join an event you go down in the queue.. so I advise him to stay in the queue if he wants to play an event.

Depends on your skills. If you are a pro at everything you have more chance, if you are a noob like me you have near 0 chance.
