It all started about 3 hours ago while I was eating lunch with my family. We hear a very large bang outside one of out glass doors, and a second even harder one following that bang. Concerned me, looked out the glass door, and see a black bird, stunned, on a work bench we have next to the glass door. He looks stunned, but fine for the most part. I walk outside, and it’s leg is bent in a position where it can’t stand up. I pick up the bird, place it down, it looks at me, then flies away. I was about to go back inside, when I look over at my dog and he’s staring at me, sitting next to this baby, helpless little sparrow that was shaking and breathing heavily. I pick up this bird and hold him in my hand lightly to warm him, while waiting for my mom to grab a box to place him in so I can take him inside. I placed him inside and carry the box inside my house. I read online that birds with concussions needed to be sat upright (he couldn’t stand up straight and that was the first sign of concussion). I put an old tee shirt with holes in it over the box so that he could be in a dark area but can still breathe, placed the box in my room (very quiet in there), and left him be. Fast forward to now, checked on him, and the poor thing still isn’t doing well... it is most likely he won’t survive the night. Please prey for the little birb, and hope that he can see his family again, and not die on such a happy day as Christmas. In the meantime, I thought I’d come up with a cute name for him, and these are the ones I’ve dialed it down to. Feel free to vote for a name
