???????? You just need to connect an ethernet cable to your router and boom no lag spikes. Tf you talkin about. Is your smartphone USB type C A or B or 2.0 1.0 1.1
I dont even think computers are usb compatible for internet.
I have a tower PC and my router is in the other room in one of the worst positions for any kind of computer to connect to. My smartphone is microUSB 2.0

They are, when I connect my smartphone I choose whether to connect it for storage, USB tethering, MIDI device, another thing, or just to charge.
You can connect a ethernet through a wall. A tower pc makes no difference, why do you tether your phone?
get a ethernet cable to your pc, it helps alot
