what does chargeback mean? This is why I'm not on forums too much lmfao
they can do cb do appealsi have a couple things to add:
- i’m pretty sure that there is a ”gifting” option that invaded can enable on the store that makes it so you say your username is what your username actually is, then when you buy something you can click “gift” and enter the person’s name there, and then if they cb they get bl, and the person who got the rank only loses the rank. alot of problems can be solved by enabling this.
- zelk mentioned on his stream that the form or whatever that lets them see the emails / ips of who buys stuff expired, and when they filled it out it got denied, so they can’t do cb appeals rn.
??he just said it isn’t going to get locked..
Edit: welp he deleted the msg
Yo i was stupid i did not read his message until it was to late

but what does it mean???This is why I'm not on forums too much lmfao
#GiftingOptionOnSToreI know this is an old topic, but I think it's worth bringing it back up.
So chargebacking has been annoying since I joined the server in March, and it has made a lot of people blacklisted for weeks while they have done nothing. Chargebacking means trying to get a refund through Paypal after making purchases, and if purchases on your accounts get chargedback, you will be blacklisted from Invaded no matter who made the purchase. There can be a chargeback after doing an IRL deal, or an attack where people buy others a tag and chargeback immediately to intentionally get them blacklisted, like what happened to Team ZLKN on Survival earlier. I've known a lot of people who had been blacklisted for chargebacking before, and some of them have even been blacklisted for that more than once. Also, blacklist appeals take forever to go through. I've asked players who have been chargedback and blacklisted before, and it usually takes more than 20 days for the blacklist appeal to go through, which is a pain for them. There're most likely more silent victims who just quit the server after getting blacklisted for chargeback. This show that chargebacking is an abusive action which has a significant impact to players, which will in turn harm the whole community.
So, what can be done to tackle the situation? I believe that players and the staff team both have something they can do with it.
For players, keep tebex protection on unless you are doing an IRL deal with an absolutely trustworthy dealer. Doing /tebexprotection will show the panel as shown in the picture below, and setting it to "Disallowed" will prevent anyone with a different IP address of you to make purchases for your account. This will prevent people from trying to get you blacklisted by buying you items and chargebacking immediately. If you play with more than one account on invaded, remember to turn it on for all your accounts you use on invaded as people can chargeback you alts, making you seem like you're blacklist evading on your main account, and you won't be able to play on your main account as well.

For staff members,I have 2 suggestions. Firstly, more players should know about tebex protection. There is no reminder about tebex protection at any point on the server, so I reckon it would be a good idea if they add a reminder in the chat about tebex protection regularly. Second, I think blacklist appeals for chargebacking should be more efficient. Staff members only need to compare the IP address between the player and the person who chargebacked, which is much less complicated than other blacklist appeals.
I really hope that chargebacking would be handled better by both players and staff members in the future, so there would be less unnecessary blacklists on innocent players.

shut the frick up@Blocky_McBlocks @KittyKitty69 @JustAPistachio @evitess
Sorry for missing that lol, I edited the post and added it back
the default settings is allowed, which means that there's no protection until you turn it on.@didgo move to suggestions pls <3
I just reckon the fact that you said that tebex protection should be shown to new players who join is good. Is it automatically off or on? I think if it isn't it should, when you first login, be disabled imo
I did one and I'm lord thx @kvids ilyHonestly, I would just NEVER do an IRL deal. I feel like these can be scummy sometimes, so I never trust them. I try and stop people on multiple occasions to never do an IRL deal.
just make sure to not do an irl deal with NotAnAlt662_ that doesn't have a rank (not an actual person just make sure ur doing irl deals with someone trusted like @Serpent0406 )Honestly, I would just NEVER do an IRL deal.
