Con Here | Skyblock is unfair | Mods do something!

Update: Regarding this issue, it has since been resolved and players found to be guilty of violating the rules have been punished.

One of the reasons duping is such an extreme offense is because it causes frustration like this from all sides of the community. I would like to address this topic from all sides to decrease the amount of arguments going on both ingame and on the forums.

First off, on behalf of the people claiming that ZLKN's team had an unfair advantage because they were able to purchase spawners from other players that were illegally obtained, I completely understand your frustration. Having spent several seasons grinding for /is top, I know how upsetting it is to be nonstop grinding at the start of the season and see another team with significantly more money/spawners than you do. Because of this, this concern was immediately brought to management's attention and was investigated thoroughly to ensure that everything that ZLKN's island was doing was compliant with the rules.

One of the common misconceptions from this whole situation was that duped spawners were being directly distributed to ZLKN and his teammates; this was not the case. The spawners were listed in /ah and since their team had invested heavily in keys/trades to gain money at the start of the season, they were able to afford these spawners before other players on the server. Every player had equal opportunity to buy these spawners from the auction house.

Another point I've seen a lot is that ZLKN knew that a certain player was duping and knowingly purchased cheap spawners from that player. This was also not the case; he had no concrete knowledge of where the spawners came from, however he did have slight suspicions about the origins of the spawners which were brought up to the staff team. I have already spoke to him about how it was irresponsible to purchase spawners while being uncertain if they were legit or not, but ultimately he is not the only player who would buy spawners from /ah if they could afford it.

To wrap this up, this is clearly a very difficult and frustrating situation for a large part of the Skyblock community. This matter has been heavily looked into and the players found to be at fault (having unfairly benefitted from exploits) have already been punished. If any further evidence is obtained proving otherwise, it will be brought up to higher-ups’ attention and investigated. Continued argument over this topic is counterproductive; one of the best parts about Skyblock is the community bond and the friendly competition that goes on, and as a community we should all strive to preserve that.
