First of all I wanna say I know it is a sensitive topic rn and it wasn't smart of me to say (although it was a joke). But should it be mutable tho? Isn't it free speech? Idk, what do yall think?

You kind of pointed out what I already knew but thx for replying. (also no a joke isn't racism, what you prob mean is: A racist joke may look like racism to someone else. Which is the case here but again, I already knew that.)

if it was my server, I wouldn't mute cuz it's an obvious joke. but on a server with a lot of players I feel your mute was deserved, but not for 12hrs. I don't feel this matches other, more extreme acts of racism, that would have a similar mute time

politics tend to rile up arguments no matter what server it is, staff tend to get pissed at us because we often argue about it (on survival atleast, but i know it's happened on other servers too) so in general, they've been muting allot of people promoting political arguments and such

I fully understand your argument, but keep in mind that this is an extremely current and sensitive topic. On a server with hundreds of players online concurrently, several people may be hurt or upset by messages like these which is why it is punishable. This isn't a thread to discuss viewpoints on this matter, but whether this was meant to be a joke or not, I think you can agree that it was something that didn't need to be said. As for the duration of your punishment, it is in line with all other offenses of this sort.
