Apologies though I never said it had anything to do about being paid, I mean to refer to the expectations and politics in working for any project hired or as a selected volunteer, regardless, in any team for whatever purpose, has elements of corporate life and that is just natural when it comes to working in structure (structure being like the rules & guidelines staff follow, the top-down seniority of rank), it's elements of a business, for a business, and that is what MC servers that sell for profit are, there will always be unclear objectivity that some may interpret as irregular or unfair coming from the Managers (such as being passed on for a promotion, which is what this thread is questioning, why didn't 7gtz get SM?). But that is mostly a subjective issue unless there's evidence to prove otherwise.
More than not, people can just interpret is as just an exercise of Managerial discretion, Managers make these decisions and it just happens, nothing you can do about it.
For example, maybe they saw that another, would complete their objectives for the Senior Mod role than the other, or as other people mentioned, just like the reasons above, which is why I said, it's just corporate life. It's a bit of an irony.
