oh boy, one of these threads now...
i'm gonna make this short simple and easy because we have many threads that go into more details than i could ever care to such as @McDonalds thread, but I would like to point something out first to @TehNeon and I am completely baffled as to why this isn't being handled.
So most of us know the infamous "God-Mode" glitch that has been a thing for a while now, and me not calling anyone out for this in particular although it should technically be your job, nothing is being done to fix this. This is a very simple fix to patch, all you have to do is change the spawn region to not allow ender pearls. So many people are technically being false banned, because it isn't "God-Mode" it is spectator mode. It's not abusing because there is nothing to abuse. Yeah, you can't take damage, but you also can't damage people. God-Mode by definition on any server as I know InvadedLands has a God-Mode feature, you can damage other people without actually taking damage yourself. It's a false title and it honestly looks bad on our record especially for someone who may review an application like Zelkam and probably has no clue that this even exists. Now why I mention management is simply because punishment guidelines for this or "Abusing Exploits" in general are not clear for staff members. I was punished along with many others at the time of my incident for 7 days, for the same thing @FrostyyMC was banned for and he was only banned for 1 day. I don't really care that he is banned (honestly he deserves a ban), but the fact that there is no actual guidelines for abusing exploits is ridiculous if you are going to punish for it and then not even patch the "exploit". Now, I have never truly been punished previous (kick/ban/blacklist) to this (other than troll punishments from TehNeon, Hamoka and Skeppy) and I don't believe the punishment given serves its duties either. I actually, was the one to report this glitch to staff, and I made it very clear why I didn't make a bug report is because all the forums clowns would've seen it and decide to go do it themselves, which would have been a FAR worse turnout if it's so bad to you guys on your part than me privately messaging a staff member about the issue. It just goes to show there is a lack of honest care, and if it is so game breaking for you guys to give a week ban over it.
There are SEVERAL more "exploits" that have been around, such as the TNT tag glitch, the waterdrop glitch, the escaping the map glitch, that one duping glitch that like only 4 ppl know about that isn't patched (won't explain any of these bc they'll just get exploited even more than they do now) and it's honestly pretty dumb that we have 5 people with access to fix this and not one person is doing anything about it. I don't want to have to make a thread to get something fixed that really should be a priority on a server this size, but apparently this is the only way management decides to get anything done.
