a ban you can log on on a alt account and blacklist is where your ip is banned and can only join the server on a alt with a VPN (wich you should not do)
 
a ban only bans one account whereas a blacklist bans your ip which makes you or anyone in your house unable to join the server
 
blacklists are for more severe punishments such as illegal affairs - but are not restricted to that whereas bans are less severe.
 
Basically blacklist = you did something very bad and against the rules, and ban = ur annoying gtfo the server for a bit please

Not quite. Thats the basic understanding, but there's a little bit more than that.

A Blacklist is where if an account logs on with a different account however with the same UP The account will be banned the only way to by-pass it is would be to get a VPN, However, a VPN is considered punishable here on Invaded and reduces ur chances of getting Un-blacklisted close to none Players get blacklist if they dox threat, tell peoples IP And many more

a ban is where a player is banned however they can log onto the server with different account players get banned for hacking and breaking the rules
 
Blacklists are usually harsher and for major rule breaks.

Blacklists are like prison, harsher than jail
Bans are like jail, for minor misdemeanours
