Do you keep your rank even if you change your IGN?

Hi, I'm considering buying a rank and also changing my ign.
But I'm planning to buy the rank today and Minecraft won't let me change my name until next week.
Will I lose my rank after I change my name?

No, you will not lose your rank. Just make sure whenever your buying your rank you put in your current IGN.

yeah you won't lose you rank just remember to put in your current IGN not your old IGN.

The info related to your minecraft account (ranks, stats, etc) is linked to a long string of characters called a UUID, that's unique and doesn't change, not even when you change your ign.
