Does /is biomes work or is it broken as of now?

Simply put the command doesnt seem to work as it doesnt seem to recognize and biomes you put into it.
Ex:/is biome set plains chunk 1 (gets this error message: {Biomes{: Could not find biome with requested name: plains)
same error happens when you try to buy a biome with /is biomes buy (__)
Would be awesome if it go fixed but im fine with just being told its broken to.
