What is the purpose for this guide? To help beginners/noobs (mostly default ranks) how to get better at the game, get more kills, die less, and foremost, have fun!
Let's say that you just joined the server and you're so excited to go PvP and join the action! Ten minutes later after several minutes of jumping down and dying, you're thinking of leaving the server. This guide will change your mind!
The tips and steps you should do to get better:
1. Where you should PvP at? I see a great number of noobs that just jump down and die pretty fast. First, you should PvP somewhere else because spawn PvP is not meant for defaults. People like bbh_is_amazing and others will just target you. I strongly suggest if you're struggling, try to PvP at /warp fps OR any player warps with small amounts of people. To access a list of player warps, do /pw.
2. Take advantage of your kits. Right when they're available, use them and store them in your pv and echest. if you are grinding money, sell all the god apples you get. sell some P1 sets. You should also know that a sharpness 3 stone sword (from kit archer) is better than a sharpness 1 diamond sword.
3. Get a dedicated team to fight with and some backup friends to come when ur in trouble. A few months ago when /warp skeppy was a thing in the middle of the void and you could easily shoot people off with a bow it was so great! You could make many friends and grind so many kills! I got a 97 streak from this (also my highest streak). If you're having trouble finding people to team with, I suggest you go to one of the smaller places to PvP at as sometimes there are some very friendly people. You can use this team later on to 2v1, 3v1, 4v1, 5v1, and maybe 6v1 the "op guys"
4. Have a strategy. If you don't, form a plan. You shouldn't be trickling in if you're really struggling on surviving.
5. Get better at PvP. Learn to strafe effectively and take advantage of w-tapping, s-tapping, and blockhitting. If you're getting comboed by everyone else, learn to butterfly click (using both hands to click your mouse, try to get 9+ CPS) and strafe well. From time to time, you will be fighting the same people. It is critical you learn their way of PvPing you. Recognize how they do it and think of the strategies I've said before and see which one does the best against them. Tip: Speed will probably help you combo more. Speed 2 is OP, but expensive.
6. Use your weapons properly. It's so absurd to me that some people don't take advantage of bow boosting or blockhit.
7. Gather overpowered items once you've got enough money. If you're saving for money, you could sell god apples (like I've mentioned) but also store some for when you strike with your best gear. Try to get full p3 and s3 OR get multiple sets of p1 and gather more OP items like speed 2 (to boost your PvP performance) and OP potions. What are OP Potions?????? It's a god apple and speed 2 combined in one potion. You can add more stuff too. How do you make it? Gather all the items that give you the potion effect. Like the Speed 2 god apple effect. Get 1 god apple and 1 speed 2 potion. Get a friend or alt to drink them. Make sure you do it quickly and right when both things are consumed kill your friend/alt on your main QUICK. Once you've killed them, you'll get a potion that has the god apple effect and speed 2 effect contained in one potion. (this also bypasses god apple cooldown so watch when you use the potion to make sure you're not exploiting).
8. Do you really need a rank? Save money and do IRL deals. Just don't go first. If you want to get VIP ($8), you should get around $160-200k and start asking global chat if they will buy it. NEVER GO FIRST. I've learned it the hard way, you'll get scammed. This isn't suggested though because no one will probably buy it.
9. Here's some more ways to earn money. Sell god apples, instant damage potions, Sharpness 4 swords, protection 1 sets, and more.
