enchanting table

when i try to enchant something like some dia boots with feather falling IV i go to the ench table and put the clean dia boots in it. when it said "feather falling IV" i clicked on it but got projectile protection IV instead. why does this happen?

Enchants are random so everytime you enchant something is always something different to what it says
yes 1.8.9 sucks for enchanting

if it wasnt random it would be so easy to get grinding swords,op picks and armour etc
