Is it worth spending time on the fisherman achievements? Is there a good reward awaiting to be claimed or is it just a waste of your time?

Pretty sure oDied has done it u can ask him if hes on, I dont think the rewards are good. oDied best survival
fishing 5 is 300k for 500. fishing 6 is a dragon crate key for 1000. tbh i forgot fishing 4 but it was probably either 100k or 100 fishing mcmmo. i've completed fishing 5 and just starting fishing 6 (for reference im #3 fishing)

I did some calculations and thats about 3 hours of straight fishing if you have lure 3, and almost 7 hours of fishing if you don't. The determination you need to finish this...
i'm guessing these calculations are done just using the perfect numbers. in reality the mcmmo drops like tools, minerals, etc. do not count towards the fishing achievement. The mcmmo feature of overfishing means you have to move make new fishing spots regularly if you're doing it near spawners (which you should be) and the amount of server scuff that happens like your bait going away when a fish bites it randomly makes this anywhere from 6-10 hours of straight fishing depending on how much you miss the bites. and that is only for fishing 6.
