Skyblock is pretty one dimensional, you grind for ZPS or IGS then AFK.
Do something cool with fishing. Make spawners, beacons, value blocks available through fishing. Obviously don't make it extremely common to get good items, but it would be an alright thing to do while your waiting on your spawners.
Even mining from past seasons, you used to be able to get the occasional chest which would house some good items. This prevents auto clicking and makes mining somewhat worth it.
As a season progresses it's a good idea to make the rewards better in say vote crates cos who tf cares about getting a rabbit spawner rn.
