Please for the love of god remove the name autofill from /pay. So my ign is DeusVir obviously but my nick on skyblock is *999 and I was doing a trade with another player (pixpce) he was supposed to pay me 1.2 mil however he did /pay 999 (1.2Mil) which is my nick BUT BECAUSE OF the name autofill it payed a random player named MrGhast_999 so now hes out 1.2 mil because of the servers shit command please fix this.

Sure I could have told the my username but I thought he already knew it since commands like /realname exist but my point is why even allow mistakes like this to happen shouldn't we just avoid situations like this in general

this is a very specific situation and I doubt the developers will code a plugin in to stop tabbing names because you messed up. It's impossible for people to make a flawless system no matter how good at developing they are.
You clearly don't understand the situation he didn't hit tab or anything matter of fact the person who got paid was offline at the time so there was no possible way he could accidently choose his name by spamming tab the /pay system automatically choose the person named MrGhast_999 simply because of the fact he did /pay 999

I feel like I should explain this a little more here's something that I found interesting if do /w 999 it will say "a player with that name doesn't exist" however doing /pay 999 (amount) it will pay the play Mrghast_999 all I'm asking is that they change the pay system to be more like the private message system so it requires the actual in game name of the person and doesn't just take a shot in the dark

This would not make sense to me at all. Because, it would mean that nicknames would be prioritized over actual people's igns. You cannot pay offline players, so what happened was "MrGhast_999" was online and just got very lucky.
For example, if this change was made, the following could happen:
Lets say I was doing irl deals, and someone decided to nick as Bella (that is not me), and the person on the other end of the deal tried to pay me by typing "pay Bella 1000000", it would go to the person with the nick, not me.
anyway this situation will likely never happen, and can be easily avoided by just typing the ign of the person you are paying.
For example, if this change was made, the following could happen:

You can change it, it is done on many plugins and is quite easy. (I know this is kinda old but anyway)
