skyblock has less "payers" rn because it hasn't reset in 7 months, and any work on it would be pretty much useless. so because of that, some people migrated to survival to talk to their friends lol. from what i've noticed, the main reason most people play invaded is because of having friends to talk to/do stuff with, so when everyone decides there's nothing to do on skyblock, you're of course going to go somewhere else until there *is* stuff to do. when it resets it gets just as many players as survival and a lot of people still buy ranks/fly. when the time comes you'll obviously see an increase in players, at least for a little bit.
(^^^ assuming that they actually make changes to skyblock- which i'm suspecting because it's taken a while, but if they keep it the exact same as always, there will likely be a drop in players and i'll admit that. buuut your logic is still completely flawed)
I genuinely doubt it will happen, but if they *did* reset survival first, it'd be because they weren't changing anything on survival and it'd simultaneously be because they were changing a LOT on skyblock (and this would only occur if skyblock was taking too many months extra, and it would purely be for convenience, not for money. it'd be more of a background reset with no changes and they would still focus skyblock.)
