A year ago today, this hell-of-a website was released.
For anyone who never got to see it, this website is an insane upgrade from the last. The original forums were, uh, summed up in one word... toxic. I’m glad to see this place at least somewhat less so. I remember the forums when they had like 3 tryhards total, being @Joyoy0, miningwesley, and me. It’s something that’s been pretty fun to watch.
Take a second, if you can, to compare and contrast this year’s community to the last. To me, that’s what’s craziest. How much we’ve all grown, the people who’ve come up, the amount of staff we’ve acquired and lost over a year. These events are things we can all look back on and laugh with.
At the end of the day you realize, it’s just a Minecraft server, all just a game. But for so many people, it’s really not. There are so many amazing people that just I have met here, and so many awesome experiences. There are some people and things I’m going to miss.
I know it’s a bit cheesy or sappy, but you guys mean a lot to me. And that’s coming from someone who’s been inactive for the last 3 months. I mean, yesterday I hit 1000 notifications.
Happy Anniversary, and for the love of god, stop necroposting.
