i had this softlock too it just suddenly stopped randomly after like 6hrs, if you get the disconnected thing just keep joining it'll let you in after some time

Usually it would be due to the sheer amount of entities or overly complex designs that result in that error happening. Unfortunately yeah the only way to fix that is with the server restart where it clears items, or an admin / staff member clears them. (To my knowledge).
