You can't control other people. Only they can change themselves if they want to. Maybe disable chat or just ignore them.

You can do this by typing /tgc to toggle chat, or /ignore <player> to ignore someone. Additionally, /tpm to toggle messages.

just do /tpm so no one messages you and if you really want to /tgc so you don't see global chat. The best way is ignore them lol
