If you think you are innocent, try to provide proof-maybe it was a misunderstanding! Unfortunately, unless your proof is definitive, it is very difficult to prove your innocence, and you most likely won't get a repeal
If you think you are guilty, you most likely won't get your punishment repealed. However, you may be able to get it decreased-each player (to the best of my knowledge) gets to lower the time on 1 mute. However, if you are already mostly done with the punishment, it may be in your best interest to not use this approach.
Overall, there is no harm in filing an appeal! The worst that happens is it gets denied.
