I took the test like 2 weeks late because I was out of school sick and I was still missing content. I also had a really bad pre-chem teacher who got fired in the middle of the year which doesn't help. it just hurts because I'm supposed to be a nerd. Big oof. Rip

I got a 55 on my test.
BARELY PASSING

haha I got a 46% on a test that I forgot about the worst part is that, I had cheated but even with cheating I still got the 46%. And yet somehow the worst ever grade in my final grade was a low B.

Hey!

I was also a big nerd in high school, but it turns out, I wasn't happy. My parents always pushed me towards maths and sciences and because I hated it so much, I went from a 90's honors student to almost flunking out.

My point is it's totally okay to 1) not take sciences, and 2) even take an extra year of secondary. I did both and I'm going to university to start my business program in September, which is my true passion!

Chin up, communicate with your teachers and your parents, and take your time!

Good luck! :)

55 is passing in your school? tf?
For me it's 45 minimum to pass (or 4 and a half). Any lower and you'll either need to get more next semester or have a summer exam. And if you fail the summer exam you repeat the year

Bte I got really lucky on this semester's chem test and got 70% while most of my classmates only got like 50% (aka a C respectively a D-). However the 1st semester I got 2 D- lol

Yo so what you need to do is talk to the teacher, my teachers always encouraged talking to them, they are not there to hurt u. If you need anything ask them they are probably more than willing to help, they want u to succeed.

I'm expected to get all As this semester.

lmao i feel this on another level. taking ap chem rn and i’m just failing lmao. shit is sooo hard
I take all DE/AP classes and they all so easy compared to basic chem I got a 100 in my DE class this semester. There's no AP/DE class for science if there was I would take it but how am I supposed to survive when I can't do this chem oof

It's really easy for those kinds of expectations to weight down on you. I made the mistake of setting the bar impossibly high for myself, then not communicating with anyone about it. You have to communicate. That is key. If you're struggling to meet expectations of yourself, don't keep it in. Tell your parents you need extra help, and tell your teachers you can't do it. You'll be surprised how supportive and understanding people can be when you communicate that you're struggling before it reflects on your marks. I hope you talk to someone soon :)

REMEMBER THAT ONLY YOU DECIDE WHAT YOUR PASSION IS, DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE TELL YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD STUDY!
