Do yall know what '' Cheating #1 '' is? I was playing on the skeppy SMP, selling stuff on ah, talking in chat and i randomly got banned for a month?? Im so confused so if anyone can tell me what the cheating 1 is cause i dont understand 1772074951593.webp

"Cheating" is your punishment reason and "#1" means it's your first time being punished for Cheating. You should go file a ban appeal. I don't know what could have caused your ban any more than you do, but if you genuinely have no idea why you were banned, my guess is you used some kind of anticheat-detectable (and not allowed) inventory management mod. Staff will respond to your ban appeal by looking at anticheat logs, and they will at least tell you what you were banned for doing, even if the appeal is denied.

tysm!! i was using an item sorter AND a minimap mod, they didnt reply yet but im pretty sure thats the reason I got banned, which is my fault for not reading the rules, but thank you for your message, i was scared for a bit

You were banned for your "item sorter", which I assume is able to sort your inventory while moving (this is impossible in vanilla). Minimap mods are undetectable by anticheat because they don't do anything, but the Allowed Mods List says any minimap mod you use must have no player or entity radar.

If you're going to appeal and try to ask for a reduction of your ban, you would plead Guilty as you know the reason and the reason was legitimate. Alternatively, you could mine coal in the jail.

item sorters being banned is kinda silly now that kit is gone
Silly? Maybe, but look at it this way. Working in your inventory while moving is impossible in vanilla. This, because it is not explicitly approved in the AML (like EasyPlaceMode is), makes it cheating by definition. Checks for "doing x while y'ing, which should be impossible" are some of the easiest to add to an anticheat and the most reliable; I see no way that they could result in a false ban.

From an anticheat developer's perspective, you want reliable checks for specific cheats like that, even minor ones, because not all cheats are going to be reliably detected; some can't be detected at all. For all you know, someone might be going to great effort to hide the use of their cheats and this is the one thing that gives them away. Use of any disallowed mod demonstrates that a player is willing to use disallowed mods at all, and there are probably more disallowed mods that they're using.
