So there's a hacked client that allows to switch your version in game, and I think this is a really neat and extremely useful feature, and it works very well.

Buuut unfortunately to use it, you have to use the hacked client, which I don't wanna do, I just want that one feature.
I was wondering if there's a mod that can do that, because if this client can do it, its definitely possible.
If not, then oh well. I just think it would be so cool to have this feature.

can i have the hacked clients name
 
this probably isnt allowed since 1.8 and 1.16 have very different features and if you can just switch it at any time, youd probably just break shit

True, there may be preformance issues, but I'd trade preformance with in-game version switching everyday of the week.
