since there is always like alot of toxic people in chat and people who spam others ips, why doesn't invaded add something like a chat mod? some other servers have that stuff and those chat mods are real helpful to people who like sometimes dont speak english or people who are getting spammed etc (i think it might be a good idea)

Why would the chat mod not just become a full moderator? I don’t see why you would need a similar position with less permissions, unless it was like a trial period , which Invaded already has in the forum of trainee rank.
Because there isn't always a lot of mods online and sometimes there's like a guy spamming ip's in chat, so I think there should just be a way to apply for chat mod and there wouldn't be a reason to like apply and go threw a trial or smth its just like a person with mute permissions and stuff.

most people are practically harmless LOL also as I said they try their best and sometimes may not always been on. I understand the idea of what your talking about but honestly the staff currently are doing a good job.

Report them and they will get punished if u have sufficient evidence, and if they are really bothering u, /ignore

the solution is likely just having more mods, not more kinds of mods. people still have to be qualified for the position so making one that can't help as much won't work as well as just... getting more moderators

I agree. I hardly ever see any staff in game. I've been playing on invaded for almost two years on and off and I've only seen staff in a server a handful of times. I get that some of these times staff could have been in vanish too, but with the player counts invaded gets they should have a ton of staff dedicated to each server. Invaded has 18 staff members not including skeppy because I doubt he is involved with moderating the server anymore. Then out of those 18 you can subtract the 2 developers and 3 managers cause they are doing behind the scenes stuff like on discord and stuff with plugins and updating stuff. So there not really watching the chat.
That leaves 5 admins, 3 senior mods, and 5 moderators. That's 13 staff members to cover 3 servers 24/7. And that's given that those admins aren't doing behind the scenes stuff too a lot and can watch chat and etc. So with those 13 members if you split them up amongst the 3 servers that's like a little over 4 staff members covering each server. Which would mean each staff member would have to be on for 6 hours each assuming there not overlapping just to make sure there is staff on almost the whole time. Which is not the case. So yeah they need to bump up there staff to like 30-40 members so more staff can be on more so they can catch more things so chat isn't being spammed with non sense all the time.

Kobouto doesn’t count, he is an AC admin, and doesn’t moderate.

yes the server is in need of staff recently which is why they opened apps 2 months ago, and 6 peoples apps were recently accepted, meaning we will have 3-6 trainees and eventually mods in the next few weeks.

oh okay that's good start

I think you're idea is good, but not the new mods. I think it's better to keep staff applications open so management are able to get players from different timezones to be able to moderate.

That’s why instead of having to recruit Full on mods, you could just recruit a chat mod, who just has a little bit of chat permissions.

what i said was that they both need to be reliable............ so if you're finding a reliable person whos been accepted... to just give them full mod permissions anyway... because it's more helpful.. and efficient

the effort of finding and accepting people just to mod the chat is imo dumb since mods don't really neglect the chat that much. they get more mutes than bans but they still need to ban people. imagine if all the people who are pending for an interview got chat mod instead. do you think that would help as much as them being actual mods? if someone leaks your ip in chat and the only mod online is a chat mod who can't ban and can only mute, who could've been a real mod, are you going to be 100% happy? people who need to be banned for chat offenses are usually worse than people spamming the chat for a few seconds. yes, they can be put in ban/blacklist requests and muted, but that's so inefficient and there'll be a lot of mistakes

they just need real moderators

They can control spammers and like people being really toxic, and then later can apply for real mod themselves.

it's still a huge waste. either way chat mods/helpers have been shut down recently
