an event wasn't even confirmed just whitelist your queues And maybe the lag would stop and the player count would be lower

Usually, when maintaining a server you would want to boost your player count.

true, but if those players are just afk in queue lagging the server causing issues it can be problematic and upsetting to people who, yknow... wanna actually play
