You do not tell people you have a mental illness simply because you fit some/most of the symptoms. I study psychology and am going to be attending university to become a clinical psychologist - do you know how many people mis-diagnose themselves because they looked at a symptom list and deemed themselves applicable? I doubt it. This happens all the time.I will take a test to prove it give me a website any website heck I'll do one for the sake of it I'll give you the results if you want it.
Heck I'll even record a appointment just to prove it!
Looking at symptoms is not a diagnosis.
Online tests are not a diagnosis.
Unlicensed people can not give you a diagnosis.
Telling people you suffer from x illness when you haven't been diagnosed is incredibly disrespectful to anyone who actually suffers from x illness.
I am not telling you that you don't suffer from any mental illnesses. However, I am telling you that you have absolutely no right to go around proclaiming that you do when you haven't been diagnosed by a professional.
Please take some time to reconsider your actions. If you genuinely believe you are suffering from mental illness, I strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist or counselor.
Thank you for your time.
