Let me keep you guys updated on who I am. I am a former Senior Moderator on this network and I’ve been playing InvadedLands for around 5 years and staffed for 2 of those years. I’ve recently gotten demoted for a very unusual reason and I tried arguing my case but ultimately it was management's word against mine.
A month or two after my promotion from Moderator a former Admin ApexWasabi told me that I should start doing blacklist since I have the perms to most of them and I followed the guidebook that he showed me on how to handle them properly. There were at the time around 20+ pages of blacklist appeals and each page has around 20 threads on them. So around 400 appeals when I started doing them. It was going great till management told the Senior Moderators that they didn’t want them handling the majority of the appeals anymore and when I asked why they told me it was because they felt that we shouldn’t have the authority to do most of the serious ones that had to deal with Illegal Affairs and stuff. So I started escalating most of the appeals that I couldn’t do and the ones I was assigned to do were barely any. Before the changes I got the number of appeals down to 13 pages (260 threads) and after the changes it went all the way back to 20+ pages of appeal. When management noticed the thread number going up what they did was delete all of the appeals. I felt that this was unfair so I asked why and the reason I got was very vague and still didn’t make any sense. I just went along with it because “it’s management's judgement and they know what’s best.” The purge helped a little but after a month the appeals went back to 20+ pages. I was getting frustrated at this point because I couldn’t do most of the appeals and I really wanted to help out the community by doing all of these appeals. I contacted Mega about it since none of the Senior Moderators at the time did any of the appeals I wanted to ask him if he could at least help me with some of the escalated ones. Since he was a good friend of mine for 5 years at that point and he was part of the management team I figured it was worth a shot. He told me that he was busy with something at the moment and if I reminded him the day after he’d do them. So a day went by and I reminded him and he told me he’d put it on his schedule. 3 days went by and he told me that he was giving the Senior Mods permissions to deal with the majority of the appeals. He never did the Escalated ones but I was excited to finally be able to do more with the blacklist appeals instead of escalating the majority of them. I believe that day I spent around 6 hours purging the blacklist appeal and I got it down to the single digits. I was under the assumption that he told all of the Senior Moderators that but when I asked around none of them received any word of doing blacklist appeals. So I spent 4 months doing blacklist appeals virtually on my own except when Zelkam from time to time would look at the escalated ones. When the Moderators got promoted to Senior Moderator I showed some of them how to handle the appeals but I’m not sure if they got the hang of it because I didn’t really explain it well. But they tried doing them but stopped after a while. Luke and Hamodi were a big help when they got promoted in helping out with the blacklist appeals but other than that no one really did them. I’m sorry if your appeal is taking months to get reviewed but I tried my best to get all of them done. I spent all nighters purging them if they got over 15 pages and spent hours looking at them. I’d constantly remind management to do the escalated ones but they never really did them unless the whole staff team complained about it.
S0V Lauren and I were all demoted at the same time but for slightly different reasons. But the main reason for our demotion was due to Nicki (NvsGalaxy). So basically the reasoning for their demotion was making fun of NvsGalaxy and Mega provided screenshots of them doing so. But for me I had no evidence whatsoever of making fun of Nicki. I simply got demoted for “protecting my friends?” On the day of my demotion I got home from work and Mega was messaging me to log off the server and wanted to ask me a couple of questions. I answered all of the questions truthfully except the part with not reporting staff beef to management. Mega told me I only didn’t report it because I was friends with these people. When in actuality I didn’t report it because I simply didn’t care. That wasn’t my business and I really didn’t want to get involved. The only reason why I didn’t answer truthfully was because I was simply terrified to answer. But before I answered the question I already knew that I was getting demoted because no matter how I answered, it was a manager's word against mine. I usually tend to stay away from this sort of beef because I already knew that Nicki disliked me as a staff member for reasons I still do not know. The reason why I know this is because she’d report me for doing any little action. It felt like I couldn’t do anything without getting reported. And to make it even worse management sided with her. I literally tried everything to stay away from her but at the end of the day my demotion reason was because of her. Periys was another staff member who was in the groupchat but one day he left because S0V called him something as a joke and he took offense to that. I felt sorry for him so I invited him back and asked him why he left and told us. S0V apologized for it and I thought that was the end of it. Periys and a couple other staff members resigned and I told them my goodbyes and how much I’d miss working with them. Especially Periys. But a day later Periys reported all of us in the groupchat and we got demoted for it. He came back a day later to the staff team so I decided reporting Periys to Mega. I provided sufficient evidence that would surely get him demoted because he was making fun of both Mega and Nicki. Saying how Mega is the worst manager to have existed and how Nicki flirts with the Manager to get away with things. I sent him around 7 screenshots of different times he’d make fun of them. But Mega simply aired me and didn’t do anything about them. So I decided to message Mega on telegram to read discord and all I get back in response was “Please refrain from messaging me on telegram.” I was getting frustrated at that point because I got demoted for not reporting staff beef and Periys is walking away a freeman when he did much worse. He’d even complain to the community how much he dislikes Mega. I never agreed with any of it. I would defend Mega saying how I’ve known him for 5 years it’ll take a bit for him to open up to you. Just talk to him for a bit and you’ll see how much of a nice guy he is. When I got ignored by Mega I wanted to have a talk with Periys to see if we could work things out since he was friends with me before all of this so I just wanted to have a chat. I noticed some of the staff in a support room call including Periys so I decided to join support waiting. When I did none of the staff members moved me but instead moved into a hidden channel. So I messaged one of the staff members asking if I could speak to Periys because I just wanted to have a chat.When the staff member asked Periys he simply replied “I don’t care.” I couldn’t believe that a staff member that I’ve worked with for so long just ignored my request to speak to him about the situation. And to top it all off I was told by the staff member that Mega told them that they weren’t allowed to interact with me at all. None of my friends that I’ve been close to for months, even years weren’t allowed to interact with me or else their ranks would be threatened. I was also muted after that on the discord for a month with no explanation as to why I got muted. I went back to Mega asking if I could have another chance to talk to him about my demotion and I got aired again. So I just said my farewells and that was the last time I talked to him on discord. I have so much to say but I can’t without having this post get taken down/locked or getting punished on InvadedLands. All I want in return is to have an actual conversation with management about our situation. Thank you for taking your time reading all of these.
