Figuring I have been both on the consumer/customer side of paypal disputes as well as on the business side, in order for paypal to give you your money back you just need to provide a halfway decent story if you are the customer. If you are the business, the burden of proof often falls on you to prove that you aren't blocking them from using ranks and such. And it was false of me to say all credit card companies, but I have both a chase and discover card and if you tell them what happened, especially saying that the business is keeping you from your purchase through false means, will side with you in a heart beat and refund the purchase.
