Is carpet duping illegal?

I would like to make a map art using carpet but its expensive to get a lot of and I dont want to get banned for using a completely vanilla carpet duper.

I'd probably say whatever those other people do. They make a giant piece of land.

My best guess is that carpet duping doesn't even work. In Paper, you have to change a setting to allow carpet and rail duping, TNT duping, and bedrock breaking. If they did not explicitly wish to allow carpet duping, they would not turn it on.

Carpet Duping does not work on Invaded Lands (patched). Duping of any kind is not allowed.

The cheapest is buying Wool and turning them into carpet from the server's /shop
