Yes scamming is a Banable offense.

not really in this case, as @BabyKrypto said "No scamming is not bannable in your scenario. The only time when scamming is bannable, is when you scam the person that has bought the rank. Usually during IRL deals you tell the person to buy the rank first because if you scam them, you will get punished and they will get a refund etc. But, if they scam you, then nothing can be done."
