Hi so I don't really think I was clear in my last thread when I said the whole community wants payouts added back. @Zelkam don't lock it this time.
Let's go more in detail with this.
The active and regular player-base of KitPvP from what I can tell for almost playing for a year is extremely competitive. With this being said since then and to my knowledge for almost the whole time Invaded KitPvP has been a thing. Top kills has been the only thing added by the server that has actually made competition between the players because of the Buycraft Voucher given upon the months stat season ending to the top 5 killers.
In the last thread @Zelkam you mentioned that "Every month several top killers were either banned or blacklisted for closet cheating, boosting, or abusing in some ways" but is it not literally the job of staff to do a simple log check on some people to see if they are auto-clicking etc? Or a simple fix would be to just log check leaderboard players the last day of the stat season.
You also mentioned that "It was no test of skill to get to the top it was a matter of who could game the system the best" which in some ways you are correct but mainly wrong. To start off with players who went for top kills like myself for example put constant time and work into the server in order to achieve top 5, which in the end game kept the server populated and constantly having people kill / be killed which is what should be happening on a KITPVP server. Also in addition all leaderboard players since the beginning of time for invaded killed irons for stats which has never been skill based, All it has been forever is just jumping down at spawn killing irons for 30 minutes or so and then going to spawn to regear and repeat while being chased by other players that want you dead. Being top 5 kills may not of showed kills but it showed active players and constantly kept COMPETITION something that invaded is severally lacking right now due to the lack of updates. If kill rewards aren't to be added back add Wherrys suggestion for the Clans.
You also said "It made more sense when InvadedLands was smaller and we were more capable of closely monitoring the top killers to better ensure it was fair for everyone" would it not make more sense now that invadedlands is FAR bigger then it was at the time that you are referring to, to have top kill rewards now due to the amount of activity the server has not only due to growing in time but also because of the lock-down because of COVID which allows majority of the playerbase to play MUCH more then they would normally be able to. It is understandable if it is "hard to monitor" players due to the amount of people that grind for leaderboards but its really not that many in reality it's only a log check on 5 people at the start and end of each month which is not much work at all to my knowledge.
Now that iv'e addressed everything you said in your response to my thread i'm going to bring up some points of my own.
There was 77 votes in total on the poll whether to add top kills back or not, and 96.1% (74) people voted yes, While only 3.9% (3) people voted no.
Along with an enormous amount of people favoring the addition of kill rewards back then not, also something to mention is that the thread literally got more replies then some of the announcements on the forums and in only a 2 day time span. Which is crazy seeing how much support it got.
The KitPvP community has a very simple wish which is to add the buycraft rewards for top kills. The only people who will be against this idea are the people that don't care such as the skeppy fans and people who don't even main kit.
Don't just lock the thread this time please like I said at the start. Please actually take this into consideration because i'm making this on behalf of most if not all of the KitPvp player-base.
