The KitPvP server has exceeded its 6 month season cycle which means it is time for a full server reset.
This thread will cover some of the major additions and changes for this reset, as well as address some questions for those of you unfamiliar with the concept of a "full server reset" already.
When will the server be reset?
We plan on resetting the server on Saturday, May 31st @ 3:30 PM EST, however, the server will be whitelisted starting Wednesday, May 28th @ 5 PM EST. The reason we whitelist for such a long period before fully re-opening the server is that we need time to properly move over new content & changes, as well as to verify everything is fully functioning and in working order before launching the server.

What will be reset?
- Player Inventories
- Player Warps
- Ender Chests
- Vaults
- Auction House
- Statistics
- Balance
- Reclaims
- Clans
- Levels (including prestige)
Map
The map for this reset will be a revamp of the one used in 2022, cleaned up with more flat surfaces and some elements redesigned to address the concerns we originally had in terms of playability.

Changes
The focus for this KitPvP reset is stability, we have made countless internal optimizations during the end of last season to improve server & networking performance including but not limited to the addition of multiple proxies for better load distribution, replacing our duel arena system with one that directly pastes chunks from snapshots, and much more.
Amongst the players, we have observed an average drop of ~23ms on KitPvP after our changes compared to the beginning of last season. Depending on your location and routing you will have varying results, it is not possible for these changes to make ping worse for people.
There have also been numerous updates to stabilize current events such as Dodgeball & add a new one; Free For All, this event is similar to LMS but introduces respawns & changes the objective to get as many kills as possible within the time limit, punishing camping and prioritizing skill.
